For any dynamic financial institution, the management of Public Relations is a key priority for its Board, and your organization is no exception. Many Board members lack the skills they need to succeed in positively influencing public perceptions.

In April 2020, a prospect called asking for help over the leaked board papers. One of the board members had lost access to his cloud email access to a hacker, to which lots of board papers had been sent. They wanted us to help recover the board member’s email account and stop the hackers from accessing it. A very tall order, especially if the board member had not implemented basic cyber hygiene. It is expensive to investigate cases. The best way is to prevent problems before they occur through awareness about basic cyber hygiene and security setting for personal and institutional safety.

In today’s interconnected world, businesses are increasingly becoming digital and technology trends including all forms of social media have become a major board room affair today, than ever before. In these #covid19 times, boards must attain the critical social media digital skills, cybersecurity hygiene to keep organization data safe during remote sessions for effective execution of their mandate through strategic social media engagements with key stakeholders of the bank.

The objectives of the training are:

  1. To create awareness on the role of the Board in public relations, as well as empower the board to embrace social media tools in strategic communications
  2. To train the Board on how to create and add value through the use of technology and social media platforms for brand equity
  3. To create awareness on Cybersecurity and Online reputation management, and how to respond in case of a problem.
